Elimu kwa Wote (Education for All)

Goal:
To promote inclusive, equitable, and quality education for marginalized communities in the Coastal region of Kenya, particularly targeting children from vulnerable and under-served backgrounds.

Key Objectives:

  • Support access to primary and secondary education for orphans and vulnerable children.

  • Enhance the capacity of local schools through material support and infrastructure development.

  • Raise awareness among parents and communities about the importance of education.

  • Collaborate with local leaders and institutions to eliminate barriers to education (e.g. early marriages, child labor, poverty).

  • Promote adult literacy and life skills training for out-of-school youth and women.

Activities Have Included:

  • Provision of school uniforms, books, and stationery to needy learners.

  • Organizing back-to-school campaigns and education awareness forums.

  • Constructing or renovating classrooms and sanitation facilities in rural schools.

  • Partnering with education stakeholders to support school feeding programs.

Impact:

  • Improved enrollment and retention rates among OVCs and children from low-income families.

  • Increased community participation in education initiatives.

  • Empowered girls and reduced school dropout due to poverty or harmful cultural practices.
